Grasskickers

Mia had her first soccer practice/game with the Grasskickers on Friday night.  It took her a bit to warm up & focus, but then she did great!  Unfortunately, it was rainy and cold, so not the best night to be playing outside.  She is very coordinated and can really dribble the ball well!  Go Meemers go!

Toy Story

Mia watched her first movie recently - Toy Story 3.  She loved it and watched about an hour of it before she was ready to do something else.  When it started and the Disney castle appeared, she said "mommy, that's where dreams come true!  When I get bigger, I want to be a princess and live in that castle with Belle and Beauty!"  Oh my, I think I'm seeing a trip to Disneyworld in our future, sooner than later!

Easter Extravaganza

We had a great Easter weekend hosting my family & extended family here in DM!  Mia participated in the annual Waukee Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and she and her sweet tooth had a great time trolling for candy.  Unfortunately, the weather that day was cold and windy, but Sunday proved to be much better weather-wise.  Great for getting outside and playing in the yard.

Mia left carrots out for the Easter Bunny and was quite pleased with all of the goodies she received in return!  We also got with our neighbors for a fun little easter egg hunt with the kids on our street.  We celebrated Mia's birthday (AGAIN) with family - can you say spoiled?!!!  The Hello Kitty lip gloss (obsessed), jewelry, craft box & new scooter were among some of her new favorite gifts!

3 Year Check-Up

Mia had her 3 year well-visit today with Dr. Jon.  She is doing great!  She was 34.2 lbs. (75%) and a whopping 38-3/4 in. tall!  That is the 85% percentile!!  She has continued to be above average in height, so Dr. Jon thinks she really may be a tall girl.  I can't believe it!  I guess we have G'pa Haskins to thank for that!  Hopefully Sam will follow in those same steps, so his big sis won't be taller than him!!

Developmentally she is doing great.  She can say her name, jump, draw a circle, knows how old she is, and can speak very well.  She is like 3 going on 13!  Go Meemers!!
