Sam started Tiny Tumblers class at the Y last week. Mia did this class at his age and I thought it would be a great way for him to burn some of his energy...and he has a lot of it!! The class is 1/2 hour and the kids can play on the equipment, play with balls, etc.
Sam did great when he could just run wild, but trying to get him to sit with me during the warm-ups and closing song are a challenge!! We're working on it though!! He has learned to roll down the mat, walk across the balance beam by himself without falling and jump on the trampoline like a pro! The teachers were like, "wow, he's athletic, you need to get him on a soccer team!" The physical part he could probably handle, but the organized part, well, that's a different story!
Looks like Sam may be taking after cousin Drew in the athletic department. Something tells me that the girls may just be cheering on the sidelines :)
Checking out the scene before class starts
Hanging with his buddy Koen
Yes, that's my kid - the one running up the mat that you're supposed to roll down :)
Sam's favorite part - setting up the bowling pin and kicking the ball into it so the pin goes flying...the other kids were gently rolling the ball of course
Waiting for his sticker which always just ends up in his mouth
