Mia's preschool class went "around the world" and enjoyed a few weeks learning about new countries and cultures. They started with China, then to Egypt, then to Mexico and finally Germany! I volunteered to lead the Germany lesson and had a great time doing so! I dressed up in my dirndl, brought in brats and apple strudel to sample, shared lots of pictures and even taught them a little German! I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or ME!

A Man of Many Shoes & No Ear Tubes
Sam had his 1 year follow-up ENT appointment to check out how his tubes were doing. Come to find out, they had both fallen out! Doc said they usually last about a year, but now I have to watch out for ear infections again! Let's hope the tubes did the trick and that he remains healthy!!
Chow's Gymnastics
Mia and her friend Lillie did another gymnastics camp at Chow's in West Des Moines! She loves it! Maybe we have some future Shawn Johnson's in our midst??!!

Cape Canaveral
Nate went to Orlando recently for a product intro meeting for Deere. They had a team-building day spent at Cape Canaveral, where they got to see the space shuttles and eat lunch with actual astronauts! He said it was an awesome experience. He even brought the kids home some "space" ice cream for them to try and of course they loved it! I guess ice cream is good, freeze dried or not!!!
B-ball Tourney
Cousin Max was in town a few weeks ago playing in a b-ball tournament -- and his team even won the whole thing! The kids had a great time hanging out with Max & some of his teammates at our house!
Valentine's Day
We had a week full of Valentine's Day festivities - including a V-day party at our house with our playgroup friends, making V-day cupcakes and Mia's party at school. Nate was in India all week, so we definitely missed celebrating with him! He did however send us beautiful flowers to let us know he was thinking of us! xo
