Sam turns "2"!!!!

I can't even believe that my baby is now "2" years old!!  It's been a fast (and very busy!) few years!!!  We celebrated Sam's birthday with a train party at our house and had family and friends over to help us celebrate.  We ate, played, did a pinata, opened presents & got to spend a lot of time outside in the 60+ degree temps - virtually unheard of for early March!!

B-ball & B-day

My extended family was in town the weekend before Sam's birthday.  Cousin Max had a basketball tournament, so everyone made the trip into town to watch him play and help us celebrate Sam's b-day a little early.  

Since Sam's b-day party wasn't until the next weekend, my mom ended up staying for the week, just for fun!  So great having her here!

K.C. Spring Break

We hit the road to Kansas City for a long weekend before Spring Break.  Kids had a great time and the weather was perfect for spending a lot of time outdoors!

Early March Zoo Day

This is for sure the earliest we've ever been to the Blank Park Zoo here in DM!  Can't beat the consistent 70+ degree temps in March!!  We've already had a handful of park days and picnics as well.  Kids are loving the freedom of being outside!!

Mia the Swimmer

Mia just completed her 2nd session of swim lessons through the Y.  She is doing so awesome!  She now loves to dunk her head, swim underwater, and jumps into the deep end with her float on.  She's come a long way and asks almost every day if we can go swimming!  Mia will move up to the more advanced class next session, so we are super proud of her.  I am trying to take the kids swimming about once a week, as they both love it so much!

Sam 2 year check-up

Our sweet, wild, busy, sports/truck/train-loving little buddy turned "2" on March 9th!  We celebrated with a trip to see Dr. Jon for a 2 year well visit.  Sam is doing just great - meeting/exceeding all of the milestones -- especially the physical ones!!  Sam weighed 27.5 lbs (40%) and was 34.4 in tall (60%)...a growing boy!!

Does a great job hitting the baseball when daddy pitches to him!  He has a great lefty stance, steps into it and can really whack the ball!
