Mia & the Diving Board

Well with about 2 weeks left of the pool being open, Mia finally got up the courage to go down the slide AND jump off of the diving board!  She had wanted to all summer and it took me going off the board first, for her to finally go for it!  Now of course, it's her most favorite thing to do!!

We got in lots of pool time before the pool closed for the season, even going out on Labor Day until the final hour!  So proud of Meemers for becoming such an awesome swimmer this summer!  We will certainly miss the pool this winter!!

State Fair Fun

We hit the fair twice this summer and had a great time!  Nate & I went out with our neighbor friends on Sunday night to see Miranda Lambert in concert.  It was a great show, despite the rain and cold!  Go figure in one of the hottest, driest summers on record, the night we are to be outside, it pours!!!!  Luckily we scored some Hawkeye ponchos that helped to keep us dry and show off some school spirit!!

I took the kids out one morning with our friends Erin, Koen & Winston.  The kids had a ball on the rides, climbing on the John Deere tractors and eating some of the best corn dogs, lemonade and ice cream around!
